Anybody know if the Army spec bikes are the same as the "civvy spec" bikes, ie same carbs, derestricted............
If there is a 50/50 chance of gettingb the right answer how come there is a 90% chance of getting it wrong

Yes they are exactly the same. I spent 23 years in the Army.

Thanks I did 15 but they had BSA C10 and laterly Canam 350s

Should be de-restricted already (mine was and they are all fitted out at the same place). From memory the main jet is a 165, so that shouldn't need changing. Maybe get the carby tuned by a person in the know. Other than that you can upgrade exhaust, big bore kit etc.
Irrelevant of the k's on it when you got it, I can nearly guarantee that it wasn't well looked after when it was an Army bike so don't be surprised if the engine requires some work.
