Hi all,
I am wondering on you guys opinions on re-usable stainless steel Oil filters? as Ive seen these on eBay for around 40 bucks. Are they any good, or should I stick to papers?

Any feedback much Appreciated!
Cheers,

Hey,

As this is to do with your motor oil I would advise against it. If you look on ebay you can pick up filters fairly cost effective. I use the 'hi flo' brand and even tho they say that they too are reuseable, I have not bothered, for the sake of saving a few dollars now a engine rebuild later is fairly costly ($2000 +). I do my oil and filter every 500 kms and never had a problem.

Only my thoughts tho, see what others think.

I agree stick to the disposable paper element.

The SS mesh will not have as finer micron rating as the paper.
