Mount Fatigue (the name accurately conveys Strzelecki’s effort, when he and his party forced their way through the almost impenetrable bush), for 583m high, is situated c. 200 km in South-East direction from Melbourne, within the area Strzelecki State Forest, in the very heart of Strzelecki Ranges.

Added a few more bits to the DRZ on the weekend:

Pro Taper Bars (fat bars) and adapters

RaceTech Headlight (perfect match of the yellow unlike the polisport light I tried first)

Pro Taper Grips

Fox V4 helmet

Took it for a spin out the back of Mirboo North then through the town onto Boolarra and followed the Morwell river road home.

Decided to head directly south on the weekend to get some fish and chips. The trip started off with a sight you don't see that often, a Toyota HILUX on it's side. After a quick look we continued to the Grand Ridge road and followed it till the Yarram Morwell road turn off and then shot down into Hiawatha and Minneha'ha Falls via Hiawatha Madalya Rd.

Continued south via Albert River road and then a series of short cuts like Billy Creek Rd, Tap Tap Rd, Old Alberton Rd which kept us on the dirt until we hit South Gippsland Hwy and Yarram-Port Albert Rd. All up it was only 80 Kms. We headed back using Whitelaws Track which was quicker and shorter however we continued riding to Balook, Mt Tassie, Carrajung, Callignee and Tararalgon South before heading back home so I don't know how much shorter the trip would be via Whitelaws Track to the beach from home. In total we did 225 kms.

I have to admit that moving back to Gippsland has a huge advantage of being able to duck out for a ride after a full day at work. I just head east for 4 km's to discover my new back yard. I did 65 km's and it was still daylight when I got home.

The only problem I ran into was I left the memory card at home for my camera so these photos are from an old iPhone 5s.
