Hi Folks,

My first post here but hopefully as a soon to be DRZ owner I can contribute more going forward.

I have decided to purchase a new 2010 Drz 400 c/w Bash Plate, Bark Busters for $ 8500....seems like a good deal?

Anyhow, biggest issue I am having is deciding on the color...Yellow or Black? Has anyone out there got a Black one that can comment on how they hold out with respect to showing scratches etc or is there any other known issues that should influence my decision such as resale???

Thanks in advance to any that can help me make the right choice!

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi wally I had a dr sm (black of course) and that wasnt to bad with the scratches and scuffs a bit of armour all gets most scratches looking a lot better ? but i wasnt riding it in the bush either .... I would go for the yellow ??

If your going to ride in the bush I would turn away at black
It shows up scratches and scuffs way more than the yellow

no to mention but if you do ride on the road ,, yellow is much easier to see, even more so at night

I have a black 'E', black does not show up scratches but the white side panels do. As for visibility it still comes with the white side panels (and of course head and tail lights) so I don't believe it to be an issue.

I bought black for the resale value... yellow looks like an ag bike.
(no offence to the 'yella's' out there)

I will admit, the black looks better. However, every black bike I have seen that is ridden in the bush looks rough after only a few rides.

If you get the yellow, a One Industries or similar sticker kit will make it look much better.

Personally, I wish they released a blue one with a clear tank.

Brasso and Plastic Cleaner will clean whit plastics up nice.

yeah i agree.....i was going to buy black because i thought the yellow looked like an ag bike....all thats needed is a better sticker kit with some bright colours in it, a new front fender and make the arse sit higher and it looks like an RMZ....minus the headlight but thats the same if its black yellow or red....

Guess i am a traditionalist. Suzuki Yellow, Kawasaki green, Honda red, Yamaha Should be red and white! lol. Either colour though as the DRZ is a good honest bike... :)
