Thinking about fitting an Exhaust System
little more volume to be HEARD in the traffic,
the Barrett Exhaust System [/b]is Australian made / support your local manufacturer
I'm hearing though
if I fit the system
the Jets in the Carby have to be changed --- is there any truth in this ??????
and how are the Barrett Exhaust Systems ---- anybody have any reviews ????

Commenting purely for the sake of acknowledging your post...no one else will ;)

I have no experience in what you've asked other than to say that, if the new exhaust changes the flow of air through the engine (less restriction etc) then you may need to change your jetting. This is just a guess though and better you heed the advice of someone who actually knows.

Thanks CJ------- firstly for acknowledging the post!!!
it appears re-jetting has to occur
with less restricted air flow through the exhaust system / I'm told

How much more is "a little more volume"? If it's not loud now, you might regret it once it is. Mine is louder than I'd like and I hate it. I'm always aware of how far I can be heard and that's not a fun thing, especially when trail riding in quiet places, everyone and everything knows you're there and doesn't necessarily appreciate it....you did say road though I guess.

Yeah CJ --- I'm having a re-think on the exhaust,

for a couple of extra DB's
and the cost factor is starting to take the edge off my decision !!

The standard exhaust note ---- ain't sounding all that bad,

for what I do anyway (80 road / 20 dirt)
