Hi, does anyone know what the specs are for the 2001 carbi or where to find a manual for it? I thought I had found the right specs but the bike is still running awfully. When its above 1/4 throttle it seems ok and pulls fine, but below that and on idle it skips and gurgles and sudden applications of throttle kill it. Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated. Can provide more details or current jet settings if needed

Hi - i've also got a an 01 competition model DRZ - doing exactly What you describe.

Have had the carbie off several times - it seems to be carbie related as i've checked/adjusted everything else.
Will keep you posted

Anyone else got any idea's - bear in mind this is the early 01 model
with the FCR carbie.
Mine has done this since forever - have tried several things but made no
difference.
It just not want to carburete off idle( not idling well either) and coughs and back fires until it clears
around 1500-2000 rpm and then runs perfectly !
I've checked the valve clearance/plug cap/pilot jet and other inside carbie.
Feels like a bad air leak somewhere - even ran a 55 pilot jet to try cure it,
it pulled a little harder down low but no change with the flat spot.

Can some one help ?
