I have seen the Powerbomb header pipes and do not understand the thinking behind it, I have also seen the KTM header pipe and they have an additional pipe section sitting piggy back on the header pipe.
Does anybody understand how to make one? and is it worth it.

I've got a 2013 DRZ400e with 20 000 km highway use and gravel roads and 4wd tracks.

I've just replaced the rear hub bearings after one of the bearings collapsed.

When I put the rear wheel back onto the bike and have the chain settings the same on both sides and tighten the axle, the left hand side of the rear sprocket rubs against the chain guard underneath the rear sprocket.

When I loosen the axle and spin the wheel, the sprocket doesn't rub against the chain guard (the rear swingarm moves inwards as you tighten it).

Like I say I've got the chain settings the same on both sides of the axle.

I don't know if it was doing this before the bearing collapsed or not.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.]]>

Had my DRZ400E for a few months now and absolutely love it - it's a UK registered DRZ400E (2001 model).

I now need to replace the chain and sprockets and have hit a bit of a problem. The standard sprocket size doesn't seem to fit my rear hub as the spacing of the holes is very slightly out.

Has anyone else had any similar problems and identified a sprocket that can fit alternative wheel options for a DRZ400E? As far as I know the bike is standard although I have read elsewhere about Japanese and European version differing slightly which could account for the difference?

The riding season is upon us and I am very keen to get the correct fitting so that I can ride as soon as possible.

Thank you guys,

I have recently installed a MRD full system and have snorkel removed. Bike seems to run ok but i know jetting will be required.
I am in Perth and am struggling to find anyone who has the JD jet kits. Can anyone tell me the best place to get either online or in Perth

Will it run too lean and damage the engine in the meantime????

Bought an 03 400E a couple of weeks back and have slowly been getting my head around it (Its
my first off road bike) all seems fine but i've noticed when i'm bobbing along in top at a
rate of knots, it kinda throbs. Cant tell if its the engine or the back wheel but there's
definitely a bit throbbing going on. It stops if I accelerate, its just there on an even
throttle. Could it be as simple at the back wheel being slightly out of balance or something else ??

any ideas]]>
